Unable to register for a new account

We want to get you registered and chatting on Kik ASAP! There could be a few reasons why you can't register an account.

Your email is already in use

You may see this error if someone accidentally used your email to register for an account or if you've created an account with that email already. If any of this is the case, you can simply remove your email from the account. Read more in the article linked above.

The username you want is taken

Try registering using a different username. You can use different variations of the username to include numbers, '.' and '_' to help!

You're experiencing a connection issue

If you don't have a strong internet connection, you won't be able to complete your registration. Make sure you're on a strong wifi or cellular network. Check out some more troubleshooting steps in the article linked above.

You're using an older version of Kik

Make sure you're using the most up-to-date version of Kik available. If you're using an older device, you may want to try using a friend's device to register.

You're not old enough

There are age requirements to use Kik. Learn more in the article linked above.
