Scan a Kik Code

Kik Codes are a quick and easy way to add friends and join groups on Kik. Kik Codes can also help you access fun or useful services by immediately connecting you with bots. For example, if you are in a restaurant or store that displays a Kik Code, you can scan the code to access specific promotions available to Kik users. 

To scan a Kik Code:

1. From your main chat list, tap the + menu
2. Select Scan a Kik Code
3. Point your device's camera at the Kik Code

Or

1. Go to your Settings
2. Tap Your Kik Code
3. Switch to Camera by tapping the toggle at the bottom of the screen
4. Point your device's camera at the Kik Code

To see your Kik Code:

1. From your main chat list, tap the + menu
2. Select Scan a Kik Code
3. Switch the toggle at the bottom of your screen from camera to Your Kik Code

Or

1. Go to your Settings
2. Tap Your Kik Code

Groups also have Kik Codes! 

To share a group's Kik Code:

1. Open the group chat
2. Tap the Group Name at the top of the chat beside the >
3. Tap Show Kik Code
4. Tap the Share icon in the top right corner

You can change the background color of your Kik Code before you share it. Just tap on your Kik Code.
